GPX guide

Your route is already recorded. We'll help you find it.

Your watch or app saved your race in a GPX file. You just need to get it: one minute, three taps, no password to give us.

01 · What is it?

The file that keeps the exact route of your race

Your watch or app already records it on every run. There's nothing to install.

02 · Why do we need it?

It's what draws your real route

Every turn, every loop, with its real curves. Without it, we can't draw your exact race.

your exact route

With or without GPX

No GPX? No problem.

You can still personalise your item: texts, time, date, colours. Only your personal route won't be imported.

With your GPX

Your exact route

  • Your own race, turn by turn
  • Your distance, time and elevation taken from the file
  • Sunday run, marathon or trail

03 · How do I get mine?

Choose your app

Three steps at most. The last one is always the same: come back here and import the file.

On a computer · ≈ 1 min

  1. On strava.com, open your run.
  2. Click “⋯”, then “Export GPX”.
  3. Come back here and import the file.

The Strava app can't export. On your phone, open strava.com in the browser and choose “Desktop site”.

Apps named to guide you: Honorun is not affiliated with any of them.

04 · How do I get it for a gift?

Two ways, your choice

A · The official route

Keeps the surprise

Many races publish their route as a GPX file on their website. Nobody needs to know.

  1. Go to the official website of their race.
  2. Open the “Route” page and download the GPX file.
  3. Import it, then add their name, date and time.

Is their race a major marathon? It may already be in our selection.

B · Ask them for their file

You get their personal route. Copy this message, it gives nothing away:

Hi! Could you send me the GPX file of your race? I'm putting together a map of our runs this year. On Strava, it's on strava.com: open your run, then “⋯” and “Export GPX”. Thanks!

Common snags

My file is a .FIT or .TCX
These formats don't work here. Your watch's website, opened on a computer, almost always offers GPX.
My session has no route
A session without GPS, on a treadmill or in a gym, doesn't have one. Pick a race from our selection.
What about my data?
Your file is only used to create and print your item. We never ask for a password.
